THE METRE WAVELENGTH SKY CONFERENCE IS OVER
This conference was held at NCRA-TIFR, Pune, from December 9-13 2013, to mark 50 years of radio astronomy research at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), as well as 10 years of operation of the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) as an international observatory.
The main aim of the conference was to bring together leading researchers in a variety of fields, covering all areas of active research at low radio frequencies. The broad themes that was covered are listed below.
- Radio emission from the Sun, stars and planets
- Pulsars and transient sources
- HI through cosmic time
- Cosmic magnetic fields
- SNRs, HII regions, star forming galaxies
- AGN and Galaxy clusters
- New developments in instrumentation and techniques

Monday, 9th Dec – Starts with Registration in the morning with full day talks and a Public talk in the evening

|Wedensday, 11th Dec – Consists of full day talks and Banquet dinner in the evening|
|Thursday, 12th Dec – Consists of talks and posters|
|Friday, 13th Dec – Celebratory Day at GMRT, Khodad|
POSTER / ORAL PRESENTATIONS:
POSTER / ORAL PRESENTATIONS:Participants giving poster presentations are requested to make posters of size A0 or less in portrait orientation. For ORAL presentations the usual pdf or ppt files will be fine. We will collect these talks a day earlier than the schedule, to avoid delays etc. We will let you know about this later.
Transport : We request you to kindly inform us your flight details or arrival departure details to take care of logistics.
Accommodation: We request all participants to book their accommodation.
